STUDIO LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY

I am a little different to most photographers in that I use studio light in all in-studio sessions. It produces a more consistent look which just can't be guaranteed with relying on natural sunlight. In addition to the stunning photography, studio light is a great way to dim the room light and calm baby into a deep and cozy sleep. I also make the experience as easy as possible for parents by providing the outfits, props, etc., for newborn and milestone sessions. I also provide free wardrobe consultation for family and maternity sessions, free and at your request. In addition to that, I encourage parents to kick back and relax during their newborn sessions, eat some snacks I provide, and let me do the hard work. I do my best to create a relaxing environment for the parents and siblings.

DIGITAL & PRO PRINTS

I provide a variety of packages with acid free, heirloom quality prints and products.

Technology will advance and change but heirloom quality prints, framed prints and albums last for generations and your posterity will actually keep those for centuries.

EXPERIENCE & SAFETY

I have been photographing babies and families for 10 years. I have mastered composition and color grading and correction. You’ll never receive green, gray or unflattering skin tones in your images. Also, safety is of supreme importance to me. I always make sure to keep your baby safe at all times, with tried and true safety measures I have learned from a few different safety training workshops. When posing them in difficult poses I will professionally edit your baby into a digital composite rather than to attempt leaving baby to unsafely support themselves. When booking me, you’re getting a true professional photographer. I am not a hobbyist or an apprentice so, you can count on the quality of work and safety I can provide.

Hi There!

I'm Keenya, San Antonio’s and surrounding areas premier professional photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, children and family photography.

I am a christian, a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend.

I’m not big on following trends. My work is artistic, timeless and organic, which provides timeless images that will always feel fresh and beautiful.

I provide high quality portraiture that showcases your family in the best light, all while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and casual.

I was born in Angola, Africa, I spent my childhood there and then I moved to Portugal, Europe until adulthood. At 23 years of age, I moved to the United States. I love this land! The same year, my father gifted me a semi-professional camera and my love for photography took off. My father was a well-respected painter who had a special love for the arts and I guess I inherited that.

My favorite movie is Tangled and I’m not ashamed to say it. :) My favorite dessert is blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. I speak Portuguese, English and some Spanish. I think I bring some versatility to my work, due to my background. I love peaceful spaces and beautiful things. I pride myself in providing beautiful portraiture in a no stress, laidback process and environment.
